The cost of running such a group is expensive; Hiring a venue range from £500 for Truro Methodist Church to £2,000 for the Hall for Cornwall per concert. Looking forward to next year’s concert season with four concerts to produce during the year it will cost a minimum of £2,000 to book a venue. Music needs to be bought and on average a set of parts costs £30. However some music is ‘Hire Only’ and the cost for this range from £120-£200 per month of Hire, and can only be hired for complete months. We intend to programme two such pieces, West Side Story by Bernstein, Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky which will need to be hired for two months each, this allows for the rehearsal schedule before each concert, normally six to eight weeks. Other associated costs include printing programmes, 200 x A4 Colour cover programmes cost £156.
As a way to cover these running costs I would like to draw your attention to the following sponsorship opportunities:
Sponsor a Player’s Chair - £175 per annum
Choose your preferred chair from the Trumpet; French Horn; Trombone; Tuba and Percussion sections. This type of sponsorship is very popular with many of the professional orchestras both here in the UK and abroad.
In return you will receive 6 complimentary tickets to be used at one concert promoted by the ensemble, have your company name annotated next to player’s name “This player is sponsored by your company name”, a link to your website from the ensembles website and an advert in all concerts promoted by the ensemble (4 per annum)
Sponsor a Concert - £250 per concert
In return for sponsoring one of our concerts, you will receive 10 complimentary tickets for your concert and a full-page advertisement in the concert programme.
Sponsor a Piece of Music - £30 - £150 per piece
As I have outlined above the cost of music can be expensive especially when you are hiring the music from one of the main Music Publishers. I would like to give you the opportunity to sponsor a particular piece of music on one of the ensembles programmes.
In return for this you will get your company name next to the Title of the piece as well as a half page advert in that concerts programme and two complimentary tickets for that concert.
Advertise in a Concert Programme - £25 to £50 per concert
A full page advert in one of the ensembles concert programmes will cost £50. A half page advert costs £25. Alternatively you can have your advert in every concert programme for £150 full page and £75 half page.
